Arthura Seabrook, M. Div., Certified Grief Counselor

People in a support group comforting each other.

Counselor | Grief & Family Wellness Specialist | Faith-Informed Practitioner

Arthura Seabrook, M.Div., is a compassionate counselor and Certified Grief Counselor who is dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate life’s most difficult seasons with clarity, hope, and emotional resilience. She believes that healing is possible even in the midst of profound loss and life transitions, and she is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.

With a Master of Divinity and extensive experience supporting individuals through grief, relationship challenges, personal loss, and emotional healing, Arthura approaches counseling with warmth, authenticity, and deep compassion. She understands that every person’s journey is unique and believes there is no “right” timeline for healing. Her goal is to walk alongside clients as they process difficult emotions, gain new insight, develop healthier coping strategies, and rediscover hope for the future.

In addition to her work as a grief counselor, Arthura specializes in Post-Divorce & Divorce Recovery Counseling and Women’s Midlife Mental Health, helping clients navigate some of life’s most emotionally complex transitions with dignity, compassion, and evidence-based care.

Post-Divorce & Divorce Recovery Counseling

Divorce is much more than the end of a marriage. It often involves grieving the loss of a relationship, shared dreams, family traditions, financial stability, daily routines, and, for many parents, precious time with their children. Even when divorce is the healthiest decision, it can leave individuals feeling overwhelmed, anxious, uncertain, and emotionally exhausted.

Arthura provides a compassionate and supportive space where clients can process the emotional, psychological, and relational impact of divorce without judgment. Rather than simply helping clients “move on,” she focuses on helping them heal, rediscover their identity, rebuild confidence, and create a healthy, fulfilling vision for the next chapter of their lives.

She works with individuals experiencing:

  • Grief and ambiguous loss
  • Depression and anxiety following divorce
  • Betrayal, infidelity, and relationship trauma
  • Anger, resentment, guilt, and shame
  • Identity reconstruction after divorce
  • Parenting after separation
  • Co-parenting and custody-related stress
  • Loneliness and social isolation
  • Financial and lifestyle transitions
  • Rebuilding confidence and self-worth
  • Dating again when emotionally ready
  • Establishing healthy boundaries
  • Developing healthier relationship patterns
  • Creating hope and purpose for the future

Women’s Midlife Mental Health

Perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause are significant life transitions that affect much more than physical health. Hormonal changes can contribute to anxiety, depression, irritability, sleep disturbances, brain fog, grief, changes in confidence, and shifts in personal identity. These experiences can impact relationships, careers, parenting, and overall emotional well-being.

Arthura provides compassionate counseling for women navigating these transitions, helping them better understand the emotional and psychological effects of midlife while developing practical tools to manage stress, improve emotional regulation, strengthen relationships, and reconnect with their sense of purpose.

She supports women experiencing:

  • Perimenopause
  • Menopause
  • Postmenopause
  • Premature or surgical menopause
  • Midlife transitions
  • Anxiety and panic symptoms
  • Depression and mood changes
  • Emotional dysregulation and irritability
  • Brain fog and cognitive concerns
  • Sleep disturbances and chronic fatigue
  • Grief and changes in identity
  • Empty nest transitions
  • Divorce and relationship changes
  • Caregiver stress
  • Career transitions and burnout
  • Changes in self-esteem, confidence, and body image
  • Relationship and intimacy concerns
  • Stress management and emotional resilience
  • Rediscovering purpose and meaning during midlife

Therapeutic Approach

While Arthura’s educational foundation is rooted in Christian principles, she believes counseling should honor each client’s individual beliefs, values, and life experiences. She offers faith-based counseling for those who requests it while also providing traditional counseling for clients who prefer a non-faith-based therapeutic approach.

Her counseling style is compassionate, collaborative, and personalized. She works alongside clients to identify their strengths, understand patterns that may be contributing to emotional distress, and develop practical strategies that promote healing and long-term emotional wellness.

Her evidence-based approach may include:

  • Grief Counseling
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
  • Mindfulness-Based Interventions
  • Attachment-Based Interventions
  • Trauma-Informed Care
  • Psychoeducation
  • Solution-Focused Therapy
  • Strength-Based Counseling
  • Christian Counseling upon request

When appropriate, Arthura also encourages collaboration with primary care physicians, psychiatrists, gynecologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive, whole-person care.
